    1992Entering the Printing Industry with Meticulous Manual Layout
    At its inception, Tangcai Printing was established on Section 1, Hankou Road, Taichung City, primarily focusing on cosmetic color boxes, industrial catalogs, and posters. Simultaneously, we founded a photographic platemaking department, a manual layout department, and acquired a DuPont rapid proofing system as our technical foundation, entering the printing industry with meticulous manual layout and efficient operations.

    1993Acquiring New Equipment and Expanding Personnel
    Our business grew exponentially, leading to the acquisition of equipment such as platemaking cameras and new film processors, an expansion of our staff, and a strategic shift towards expanding into real estate printing.

    1995Training Digital Layout Professionals and Expanding Service to Hsinchu and Tainan

    • In response to computerization, we introduced MAC & PC computer systems for prepress and a MAGNA636 drum scanner, offering color separation input and film output services. We actively trained digital layout professionals and established a Hsinchu branch to serve clients in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli.
    • We also introduced the AGFA Arantra25E film setter, replacing manual labor with superior equipment, and established a Tainan branch to provide 24-hour service to clients in Chiayi and Tainan.

    1997Expanding Prepress Technology and Offering Cross-Regional Service to Taoyuan

    • We established a plate exposure department, acquiring two double-sided flip plate exposure machines + plate processors and a high-end AGFA A3 flatbed scanner. This enhanced our hardware and allowed us to serve clients with a complete prepress system.
    • We also established a Taoyuan branch to serve clients in the greater Taoyuan area.

    1999 Expanding Facilities and Becoming a Streamlined, Integrated Operation

    • With business growth, we expanded our facility on Dadun 12th Street in Taichung City, covering 300 pings (approx. 990 sqm), and increased staffing across all departments.
    • We introduced two fully automated KOMORI full-sheet printing presses from Japan and one paper cutter, transforming into a streamlined, integrated operation.

    2000Comprehensive Equipment Optimization to Enhance Print Job Control Accuracy

    • We introduced one Celsis6250 drum scanner from the UK, one SCREEN RD3100 full-sheet film setter from Japan, one spot proofing system, and one high-speed paper folding machine from Japan.
    • We also implemented a print management system to control every print job with maximum efficiency, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

    2002Second Factory Expansion and High-Precision Equipment Driving Northern Market Growth

    • Due to business expansion, a second factory was established in November on Liming Road, Taichung City, covering 200 pings (approx. 660 sqm).
    • We acquired the latest German AGFA violet laser platesetter, one Komori full-sheet fully automated press with a four-corner feeder, two paper folding machines, and a computer paper cutter. This enabled rapid transmission of manuscripts back to Taichung and remote digital proofing, allowing our Taoyuan and Taipei operations to provide proofs to clients quickly, breaking through regional limitations and driving rapid growth in the northern market.

    • In March, we added a fourth Komori full-sheet automated five-color press and peripheral paper cutting and folding machines, enhancing our computer prepress software and hardware.
    • We also acquired a second Celsis 6250 drum scanner and the latest digital proofing system to meet diverse client needs.

    2005Expanding Production Scale and Ushering in the Five-Color Press Era

    • In February, we acquired a fifth fully equipped Komori 5-color press, bringing our total number of presses to five. This formidable lineup operates day and night without rest, maintaining high efficiency and quality in printing.
    • Concurrently, we added fully automatic saddle-stitching equipment and post-press paper cutting/folding machines, ensuring fast and precise machine operations.

    2008Third New Factory Expansion, Enhancing Printing and Service Quality

    • Business expansion rendered the Liming Second Factory insufficient, leading to its relocation in November to the Daqing Street Industrial Park, covering over 600 pings (approx. 1980 sqm).
    • We acquired a SCREEN platesetter to meet prepress publishing demands, fully enhancing printing and service quality with the smoothest and most efficient integrated operations.

    2009Addressing Factory Space Issues and Preparing for the Printing Market Recovery

    • In March, we purchased a new, elegantly renovated office for our Taoyuan branch with a rich cultural atmosphere; in June, we acquired a factory building in Taichung spanning over 2000 pings (approx. 6600 sqm).
    • The plan was to merge and centrally manage the two major factories, confronting the rapidly recovering printing market after the financial crisis with the most complete printing processes and highly efficient services.

    2010New Factory Inaugurated, Equipment Upgrades Showcase Printing Capabilities

    • In January, Tangcai Printing's new factory was completed, featuring a striking architectural design with beautiful office buildings and spacious printing facilities, marked by a grand inauguration reception.
    • In February, we acquired an AGFA AVALON-XT thermal platesetter, boasting a capacity of up to 34 plates per hour, and comprehensively upgraded all imposition and RIP software to the latest versions, fully enhancing our prepress operations.
    • In April, we purchased a new KOMORI S40 printing press, a fully automated machine with rapid plate-changing operations, elevating print quality to a new level.

    2012Industry First – Introduction of 8-Color Printing Press, Perfectly Meeting Market Demands

    • In response to the digital era, we successively acquired advanced equipment such as digital printing presses, two black-and-white rapid printers, and a Yuanmao perfect binding machine, successfully addressing the high cost of small-volume printing and offering more flexible and economical printing solutions.
    • In the same year, we introduced Taiwan's only KOMORI 8-color printing press, enabling single-pass front-and-back color printing or single-sided printing of 8 colors, perfectly meeting market demands for high-quality and high-efficiency print jobs.

    • We acquired a KOMORI five-color-plus-extended-coating printing press, enabling printing and coating in a single pass, significantly reducing time and lowering costs.
    • We also purchased a Xerox 1000 digital printing press, offering highly efficient printing and substantially reducing the costs associated with small-volume print jobs.

    2016-2017Establishing an Overseas Export Department to Expand into International Markets

    • We continued to acquire equipment, adding die-cutting machines, stripping machines, and hot stamping machines to boost productivity and competitiveness.
    • Recognizing the gradual decline in domestic market demand, we progressively expanded into overseas markets to increase visibility, establishing a new overseas export department to recruit professionals, making Tangcai Printing more innovative and competitive internationally.

    2020New Equipment Acquisition, Enhancing Print Job Completion Efficiency

    • We acquired a new embossing machine, suitable for various paper types, with adjustable speeds and a cooling design to ensure consistent texture depth, significantly enhancing print job completion efficiency.
    • In May 2020, we purchased a Kinco box cutting machine, which operates without the need for a die-cut mold, is fully automated and computerized, allowing for rapid cutting and creasing, making it easy to proof various color box samples.

    2022Further Enhancing Small-Volume Printing Efficiency

    • In 2022, we acquired a fully equipped KOMORI G40 printing press, featuring a proprietary ink control system for precise regulation of ink density and color stability, enabling stable high-speed printing for both thin and thick papers.
    • In October of the same year, we added a Revoria pc1120 digital printing press. It can print on various paper weights and boasts a print server with ultra-high resolution and high-speed processing capabilities, outputting 2400x2400 dpi high-resolution images. In addition to CMYK toners, it can accommodate up to two special color toner cartridges, offering exceptional high-speed printing productivity and elevating small-volume printing efficiency to new heights.

    In February 2023, we acquired the Kodak Trendsetter 800 III platesetter system, enabling fully automated platemaking operations. This significantly boosts production efficiency and provides stable and excellent platemaking quality and speed.

    2025Qunli Fully Automatic High-Speed Laminating Machine (QL-1080S)

    • The Qunli Fully Automatic High-Speed Laminating Machine features automatic air suction feeding, electromagnetic heating, high-precision lamination, automatic slitting, and non-stop paper collection.
    • This equipment is designed for high-efficiency post-press processing, equipped with intelligent speed control and an anti-curl device, capable of rapidly applying OPP/PET film for high-quality lamination needs such as books and packaging boxes.

    2025Spot Color Ink System

    • Spot Color Ink is a pre-mixed, specific colored ink, distinct from the "four-color printing mode" which uses CMYK halftone dots to overlay colors.
    • Spot color inks accurately reproduce specific colors with high gloss and are often used for special colors, brand colors, or printing jobs where high-quality requirements are difficult to achieve with CMYK halftones.
    • Compared to four-color printing (CMYK), spot color printing can achieve higher quality requirements in terms of color saturation and precision.
